Duties of a Spiritual Father
As your faith in God grows, you migrate from being a child of God, to a mature son, to a full blown disciple of Christ. In time, you will likely attract others seeking spiritual maturity as well.
They will recognize the grace on your life and will want to know the principles you live by. Others will voluntarily submit to you, meaning you’ve entered into a role of “spiritual fatherhood.” Some of those seeking your leadership may have lacked or lost a father at some point. As an emerging spiritual father, you will be modeling God’s principles for your sons.

Check the Related Verses and Explanation columns for further insight. Of course, the most fundamental quality needed to fulfill this roll is your own spiritual submission. Once you determine where you need to grow, work with your Discipleship Coach on the qualities in this exercise that need strengthening.
